Ok you all remember that leak in my bathroom sink from last year? Well that was a really bad leak! It leaked from the sink, faucets, and from the pipe in the wall. It leaked all over pretty much. Thanks to Ed we’ve been working on it the past few days. The entire vanity had to be replaced; the old one was water damaged and just fell apart when we took it off. I’ll post some more video updates on it later this week. So far its looking better since this video was made. Thanks again for all your help Ed! I really appreciate it.

Best location for a towel bar?

I’ve recently remodeled my main floor 1/2 bath, exchanging the vanity for a pedestal sink. The bathroom is very small and the location of the toilet relative to the sink makes for a difficult reach for a towel hanging over the toilet on the bar I have already installed there. I’d install a towel ring on the wall to the left of the sink, but there’s a light and fan switch as well as an electrical outlet there and the ring will have to be so high that it will look funny. I’m wondering if there is a towel bar or ring that can be easily attached to the pedestal sink itself. I’ve found a plastic self-adhesive towel bar, but I don’t like how it looks. I’ve also found a curved towel bar designed specifically for pedestal sinks, but it mounts to the wall and my 2 year old daughter would have that one ripped out of the wall within one day of installing it. Also, it only comes in chrome. My faucet is nickel. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

We would like to build a wall mounted vanity in a new bathroom.?

It will be tiled on the countertop an sides, with a sink mounted on the top and the faucet coming out from the back wall.
My main concern is the construction of the vanity and details of how to attach it to the wall so that there will be no visible support giving the appearance of free floating. I’ve been told that there maybe some inwall support systems similar to in wall toilets.

The size of the vanity will be 40 inches wide by 20 deep. We would also be interested in having one shelf below the countertop.
