Where can I find wall mounted faucets for a 1950s sink?

I just moved back home from college, and I’m trying to move into my brother’s old room. There’s a bathroom inside that bedroom, and I’m trying to remodel it without actually having to install new sink and toilet and stuff. The reason I do not want to do this is because I am a female and I have no plumbing experience, and my parents have not and refuse to take care of that bathroom. My dad is adamant in not repairing the bathroom, because he says the remodeling that is needed is beyond superficial, but the bathroom is just in unacceptable condition, and I refuse to use it in that way. So I’m pretty much on my own here, and I’m trying to do the best I can, given the situation. The sink inside that bathroom is from circa 1958, and while the actual sink is unscathed, the faucet is rotten and leaking (because it’s all eaten up and so are the keys, for lack of a better word–sorry, I don’t know all the technical terms here). The faucet needs to be replaced, and I have gone to Lowe’s, Home Depot, you name it. They’ve told me that I have to make a special order for those faucets. But they’re telling me it costs upwards of 6 to do that. Where could I find the faucet for this type of sink? I’ve provided a link to a picture of what the sink looks like below, except the one I have is green, but basically the faucet is mounted on the sink in the exact same way. Help would be appreciated!

Oh, and the faucets that Home Depot and Lowe’s say have to be specially ordered aren’t even the ones I need. They’re wall mounted, but they swear that those faucets should work. Looking at the pictures though, it seems the faucets are too big for the holes of the sink.
That seems like a good idea Paul! I will definitely see about trying that!
Oh, I just found the name for this kind of fixture…it’s called a shelf back faucet, not wall mounted.

What color are the walls in your bathroom?

I had my bathroom painted gold. The other colors are white (tub, toilet, frames, cabinets, sinks, ceiling) & chrome (faucets, handles, shower rings & pole, wall mounted holders, etc).

What colors are your bathroom?
Does anybody else have a gold bathroom?

How do I connect a washing machine to bathroom sink? Front or top loading? ?

This apartment does NOT have a "laundry area" with built in pipes in the wall to hook up a washer and dryer.

All we have is a big square area adjacent to the bathroom, but no washing machine pipes or drain connections (And dryers are not permitted here per our lease) All we have is the adjacent bathroom sink, toilet, and tub, and an outlet to plug into the bathroom for electricity.

So, how do I connect a washing machine?, Do we somehow connect it to the bathroom sink?

And does this limit me to only top loading washing machines? Or can I somehow connect a front-loading washer in this way to the bathroom sink faucet?

Plumbing alterations are NOT permitted on the lease, nor hole in wall, or ANY construction etc., But Washing Machines ARE permitted. :)

So can I get a front-loader and connect to bathroom sink?

Can I get a top-loader and connect to bathroom sink?

How?

Note: I know nothing about washing machines, not even how they look in the back (All Ive really used before are the old Japanese mini tiny washing machines)

Thanks ;)
I guess I could use an extension cord to get electricity from one of the bedrooms, maybe? (Instead of using the bathroom outlet)

What color scheme could I use for my bathroom?

My bathroom is all white- bathtub, sink, toilet, walls and door with chrome fixtures-door knobs, towel racks and faucets. The floors are wood colored linoelium and the cabinet under the sink is wood. I dont want to paint, I just need some colors that go with what I have got already, like I need towels, shower curtain or any other accesories that go in a bathroom.

water heater problems – making loud banging noise when flushing or turning on bathroom faucet.?

Sometimes when the toilet is flushed the water heater in the basement will make a loud banging rumbling noise and also when the bathroom faucet is turned on it will occasionally do it. Does anyone know what is causing this?

wonder if anyone knows where the water shut off is for the bath tub faucet?

i live in a condo and am remodelling my bathroom. I dont’ see the water shut off for the bath tub faucet and shower head. the only vaulves i see are for the sink and the toilet. How can you work on the walls in my case?

How much will it cost to build a bathroom in the bonus room?

I need to build a bathroom in our bonus room behind the garage because my mother is going to move in there and she is handicapped. The washer and dryer are in there, so there are water lines close. I have estimated by shopping online that the shower stall, doors, faucets, sink, vanity, sink faucet, and toilet will be a little less than 0, so I am just wondering what it will cost to do the plumbing and build to walls. Also, is the plumbing easy, if so i could do it myself. We wont have a bath tub, just a shower, sink, and toilet. THANKS!
