My bathroom sink has a double faucet. The cold water faucet has no problem but when the hot water faucet is turned on it shrieks. This doesn’t happen when you turn the faucet but rather when the water is running. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks for your help.

I would like to replace the faucet in my bathroom sink. Also, would like to replace the shower spout and water regulator/valve. I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia.

I already purchased the parts, so I am just looking at the labor cost associated with installing it

I got a quote of 6 from oe plumber. Now, that seems really really excessive to me.

How long does this job normally take ? I am guessing 4 hours or maybe 5. Also any ideas on what the cost of labor would look like ?

Just installed a new faucet for my bathroom sink. When first went to test it, the water pressure was fine but there was a slight leak underneath. (Seemingly from the drain and trap) Tightened things up underneath and tried again. Now the water pressure is almost nothing (only for the sink everything else is fine) and there is still a slight leak but nothing like it was before. Any suggestions?

I removed the faucet assembly from the bathroom sink/basin to replace it with a new one and it’s completely yellowed underneath. It’s not as bad as it was after I tried to clean it with the rubbing compound I would use on my car but still not gone.

I have to get it all cleaned away because the new one is not the same shape at the base as the old one.

Anyone here had experience with this and know the best stuff to use?

I am cutting holes in cementboard for my bathroom wall where the showerhead and tub faucet pipes come out. What diameter should they be? Typically the same diameter for both? Right now the hole is just big enough for the pipe nipple to come out. What about the holes in the countertop for a lever-type bathroom sink?

I’ve seen pictures of the PUR water filters and they’re always mounted on kitchen sink faucets. Can I mount one to my bathroom faucet? It’s not a loop and is a basic bathroom faucet that looks like this:

(the reason why I want it in the bathroom and not the kitchen is because my cat, who has kidney disease, is constantly jumping onto the bathroom sink for water and I want him to be able to drink as much water as he wants)

I want to keep my 1950′s bathroom sink that sits on two metal legs. But the faucet is worn out and needs replacing. It’s a 3-piece 8 in. spread with cross handles. Problem is, it mounts on the inside back of the sink, kind of like a wall mount, and sticks out. A new wall mount will not work b/c it would stick out too far. Where can I find this type of faucet?
None of the sites below have what I’m looking for. This is an OLD sink with a taller back with the faucet on the INSIDE of the sink, but on the BACK. So the handles face out, and the faucet itself is very short. Our local plumbing store does not have this. No large hardware store has this, this is why I’m asking for help. Has anyone seen this type of faucet?
